Datastop™ Glass for Electromagnetic Shielding (EMI/RF)
TEX ATC supply Pilkington Datastop™ glass with an “invisible” electrically conductive surface, specifically designed to give maximum electromagnetic shielding (electronic noise shielding/EMI/RF) for the purpose of preventing data theft or hacking, and where protection from electronic interference is essential. Iconic Datastop™ installations include the Empire State Building.

Datastop™ glass is used in laminated glass and sealed glazing units, which have been specifically designed to reduce the transmission of electromagnetic radiation.
Datastop™ glass can be used for windows or glazed panels in shielded external walls, internal partitions or cubicles designed to provide good attenuation using the Faraday Cage principle. A Faraday Cage is an enclosure, all of whose (external) surfaces are electrically conducting.
For maximum attenuation, Datastop™ glass must be conductively connected to the window frame all around its periphery, which in turn should be connected to the wall screening of such enclosure.
The glass provides good clear vision and light transmission. Such an enclosure or screened room will require air conditioning and a major advantage of the ‘Datastop’ double glazed range is its inherent very high solar heat rejection and exceptional thermal insulation.
TEX ATC supply Datastop™ 6 mm sheets up to 3284 mm (10 ft, 9 5/16 in) x 1900 mm (6 ft, 2 13/16 in). Enquire for more sizes and thicknesses.
